Chilly day off!

Well, today was my day off, YIPPEE!! I was hoping to sleep past my alarm, and I did by a smidgen... but my other "alarm" was up at 7:00 a.m. sharp!  I suppose I should be thankful she sleeps that long in the mornings.... I know kiddos that wake up a lot earlier than that! She used to sleep til 8:00-8:30, which was FANTASTIC on my days off! :)  Well for those of you reading this just to see if she slept better than last night, the answer is yes. :) She awoke again at 11:30, but this time just fussed around for a few minutes and then was back to sleep on her own.  Pfew!!

Today started off with cuddle time for the whole family in our bed for a whole 45 minutes! That's a rarity! We then lackadaisically got around and while Daddy went to teach his summer class, Brenleigh and I took a trip to Target for diapers.  I have discovered that she is extra good and doesn't scramble to get out of the cart if I bribe her a bit, so when we head to there for a long list I tell her that if she's a good girl in the cart then she can get a "toyeeeeee!"  We, of course, then go down the $1 aisle to find something fascinating. :) Today it was the same set of three balls that she got last time! Must really be a good toyeeeeeee! (To justify it a bit, Hunter did pop the soccer ball...)

Since it was SO COLD this morning, we fingerpainted inside.

After Brenleigh's nap, we decided to make a yummy snack, so I made some brownies.  She is very much into M&Ms (or emmieees as she calls them), so I thought I'd let her sprinkle some on the top before we baked them.  Well, I happened to snap a picture at JUST the right time-- she slipped and went hand-first into the pan! :)

And no, she didn't fall off the counter. :D And we both licked her fingers clean, as to not waste even a drop of the precious batter...... 

Well this afternoon we all 3 mowed the lawn (Yes, all 3!) Brenleigh just HAD to help, and her own little mower just wasn't good enough! 

I didn't get a picture of all of us mowing.... (just imagine, Ross REALLY pushing (it's a TRUE PUSH MOWER), Brenleigh holding onto the handle, and Mommy holding Brenleigh!) Thank goodness she lost interest after just a few passes.  :)

Well folks, that's as exciting as the Huxoll household was today.  Tomorrow it's back to the grind.  Brenleigh will get to spend a good two hours with Maaaa (my mom)- she has been asking for her incessantly! I hope you all had a great Wednesday.
